We need to verify your identity to show the verification badge on your Bluesky profile. This will help others in the Microsoft community know that you are a verified member. In order to do this you need to prove you own the Bluesky profile that you are verifying as well as other verification methods based on the badge you are trying to get.
The Bluesky mobile app and website cache the badge information, so it may take a little while before it shows up.
I am working on migrating them over to this site. Since everyone was so impatient, I'm releasing this now with the verification option. The old site is still available at https://doc.bluesky.ms

We take your privacy very seriously. We store your name and email address, that you use for registering. When you connect your Bluesky account, we store your public Bluesky handle information. The email address of Microsoft employees who verify is stored to perform periodic checks on the employment. We have plans to add other verification options such as Entra Verified ID which may remove the need to store your Microsoft email address. For MVPs and RDs the public profile url is stored.
